Shirley Sue Buschmann of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away Friday, December 5, 2025, at Life Care Center in Orange Park, Florida. She was born December 12, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Bert & Lois Poteet. She married James Walter Buschmann on September 4, 1966, and he passed away on December 4, 2020.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Poteet, daughter Robin Heinz, and daughter Shari Harnois, granddaughter Tiffani Johnson, grandson David Johnson, grandson Joshua Johnson, granddaughter Olivia Kesselring, granddaughter Taylor Heinz,
granddaughter Savannah Heinz, niece Jami Davis, great-nephew Christopher Poteet, and 3 great-granddaughters.
She loved going to church and participating in many of the programs & praising the Lord. Reading was also a passion she enjoyed. She loved sewing & creating things. She loved to sing.
The viewing will be on December 15, 2025, from 4:30- 6:00 p.m. @ Hardage Giddens Riverside Funeral Home, which is located at @7242 Normandy Blvd.
Jacksonville, FL 32205. The service will be held on December 16, 2025, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. @ the same location, and then we will take her to the Jacksonville National Cemetery to be laid to rest.
