She was born in Millington, TN on February 12, 1938 to the late Ira Jr. and Frances Watkins Crenshaw. She was the oldest of three, being predeceased by both of her brothers, Philip R. Crenshaw and Terry D. Crenshaw.
Shirley was also predeceased by her loving husbands, Clyde Donald Fairchild and Stephen A. Gasque.
Upon moving to Jacksonville in 1975, Shirley started her professional career with the law firm of Boyd & Jenerette, where she continued to work for 48 years. She made many valued friendships throughout her years there. She retired from Boyd & Jenerette in February 2024 with much fanfare and a wonderful party.
In addition to truly enjoying her work, she liked to dance and visit with friends at The River House and Tom & Betty’s, practicing yoga, going to Temple Builders gym, reading and traveling. She appreciated common sense and good manners. Throughout her life including her illness, she never complained. Her hair and makeup were always perfect and she dressed with style and good taste. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Left to cherish the memories of this strong, southern lady are her 3 daughters, Donna Fairchild Revis, Laurie Fairchild Bornstein (Joseph) and Renee Bryant, 3 grandchildren, Christie, (Mike), Katelyn, (DJ) and Cody, (Jenna), 2 great grandchildren, Miles and Oakley, 3 sister in laws, Shirlie F. Reeves, Carolyn F. Langrell and Debbie Crenshaw, several nieces and nephews, many cherished friends and extended family.
Her absence leaves a void in the lives of all who knew her and she will be forever loved.
