

Shirley Hartman, 89, died at her home in Jacksonville, FL. She was born in Sellersville, PA to William Kermit Moyer and Violet Ruth Hayes Moyer. Shirley married Robert Nelson Hartman on August 22, 1954. Robert and Shirley had 3 daughters, Natalie Ann Primm, Nadine Annette Snodderly and Nanette Baltz Werner.
Shirley is survived by her sister Kathleen Joy Utz, her brother-in-law Dave Hartman (Priscilla), as well as her daughters and their husbands: Natalie (David), Nadine (Bill), Nanette (Peter).
Shirley has 9 grandchildren: Stephanie Primm, Courtney Primm Brophy (James); Aaron (Brenda), Benjamin (Amanda), James (Katie), Sarah Anne Snodderly, Naomi Snodderly Reel (Will); Amy Baltz, Scott Baltz (Jahnava).
Shirley has 10 great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Jack, Elizabeth, Elijah, Jonathan, Josiah, Ezra, Justin, Ganesh, Jaya.
Shirley was an aunt to John, Michael, Karen and Jennifer.
Shirley was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Violet Moyer, her husband, Robert Hartman, brother-in-law John Utz, and son-in-law Ronald Baltz.
Shirley spent much of her time through the years serving in church. She led Vacation Bible Schools, sung in the choir and was the Nursery Coordinator to name a few. She is currently a member of West Meadows Baptist Church, Jacksonville, FL. Shirley was a stay-at-home mother through her daughter’s early years. She and Robert were very faithful at attending all of their games, concerts, plays, etc.
Shirley graduated from Hatfield High School, 1952; Ramapo College, BA 1978; Montclair State University, MA 1981.
Shirley had varied jobs through the years including secretary, camp counselor and office manager, kindergarten teacher, as well as a professor on the college level and Registrar at two Christian colleges.
Shirley’s family extends a special thank you to her friends and health care providers.
A visitation for Shirley will be held Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at West Meadows Baptist Church, 11711 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32221. A funeral service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 11711 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32221. A committal service will occur Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 800 Hammond Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32221.
