I really enjoyed working with Steve at Coach. He was a very sweet man and always ready with a friendly smile. When we go Home we'll see him again. Prayers of comfort to family and friends.

It is very difficult to put into words how I feel right now. Uncle Steve, I am going to miss you so very much! Even though we were far apart in distance, we were never far from each other in our hearts! I could always count on you to listen in my good times and in the bad times too, you encouraged me especially when I needed it most. And you always thought of me whenever you came for a visit and brought me cracklin  (you never showed up without it). I am going to miss our talks (I know now, we never had enough of them) and especially will miss your visits and hugs. I know you are in Heaven and that I will see you again, but right now my heart hurts and my tears fall. I love Uncle Steve!

When I was a child our family moved to Florida (as part of a military transfer..Navy BRAT..sound familiar). Mom (Cousin Joan Weber) said our cousin Stevie was coming over. I couldn't believe we had MORE relatives in Florida...since we had so many relatives up north. Mom laughed. When I first met Stevie he was so impressive. Tall with dark hair and a white uniform. Piercing eyes and a GREAT laugh. He was kid friendly and easy for a seven year old girl to talk with. He had a lot of practice with all his sisters long before I come along! I soon came to look forward to all his visits. We also quickly took to Verlyn...Stevie was a lucky man. He often talked about his children and in recent years grandchildren lovingly.

I do not remember Stephen as a child - he was always a grownup to me and I was a bratty little sister. Thankfully, my family and I lived in Ocala for 5 years and we were able to visit. My children were able to know Uncle Stephen, Aunt Verlyn and cousins, Christopher and Kimberly. It was nice to become Stephen's friend as well. I will miss our talks.

I offer my deepest sympathy to Verlyn, Christopher & Kimberly. I know all of you will miss Steve with all your hearts but he is in a better place. I pray that the whole family will pull together & find comfort & peace in each other.

Our thoughts are with the Hollo family and another journey to heaven.  We got the opportunity to get to know "scuba Steve" after Ruth passed away. I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss.  Your dad worked with Terry and I back in 1995 when we all started at Coach and he was always so sweet and kind.  He would always have something nice to say to me when he saw me and would always talk about his family.  He will be missed.  My prayers are with you and your family.

Cousin Stevie, I will really miss your laughter at our family gatherings. Rurhie was born 4 days after me and she and I wrote to each other as you traveled around the world with your father and mother. Oh! how I looked forward  to  her letters and your all too short and infrequent visits stateside when we were growing up. Then you moved close to us and we met Verlyn just before you got married and I came to see you a lot more. You will be sorely missed.

Dearest Uncle Stevie, It was always wonderful to see you at Mom's (Aunty Carole's) when I was visiting back home in Orange Park. No gathering was complete without you. I still have a few of the letters you sent me when I was a little girl -- from different places around the world (with coins attached for my collection). You have always held a special place in my heart and will be sorely missed. Big hugs--

Uncle Steve you always welcomed us to visit. I have memories of you and my mom telling your stories when you were kids. So many fond memories that will be treasured. Not only were you my big brother, but as we got older, you also became my friend. I loved all the times we met for breakfast at IHOP and all the dinners you made to welcome me home from work.
