Her viewing will be from 6-8pm on Sunday Dec 22, 2019 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.

Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Monday Dec 23, 2019 at Westside Baptist Church with the Robert Barton officiating. Burial will follow at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home.

Tempie was born Enterprise, Alabama to Park H Jones and Wilma H Jones on May 9, 1939. She went to school at town. She married James Richard Kerr on January 20, 1961 in Enterprise Al. She graduated from Valdosta State College. She worked as a Registered Nurse for St. Vincent's Hospital for 17 years. She was involved in her church and sunday school. Tempie was a lifetime learner, continuing her education by completing a Doctorate in Theology.

Tempie is preceded in death by Park H Jones, Wilma H Jones, James Richard Kerr, Gerald P Jones, and Jennifer A Weaver.

Tempie is survived by Karen Morrow (daughter) and her husband Daryl, daughter Amber Wright and her husband Tom, Robert Kerr (son) and his wife Lury, and Sharon Loggins (daughter) and her husband Eugene. Her grandchildren are Chris Hubbard, Brandon Hubbard, Sarah Thomas, Carolyn Galbreath, Leila Kerr, Amanda Baatz, Brandi Addison, Christina Weaver. She also had 24 great grandchildren.
