She was our beloved Mother, Sister, Grammy and friend.
Teri was born on March 31, 1950 at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Jacksonville and grew up in Baldwin, Florida. She cherished the memories of the lifelong friends she made from first grade to present time. Teri worked in the medical field as a medical secretary and loved all of ‘her’ patients that she encountered over the years.
For many years Teri was known as K-See the clown along with her good friend Dixie Darlin’ (Marty). Together they won the hearts of many children with face painting, balloon twisters, magic tricks and clown skits, sharing their love of Excitement and Joy.
Teri had a Good heart. Her friends have fondly shared that she had the
“Best laugh”. She loved people and would strike up a conversation with anyone. She was excited to share her love for her family, giving details of where they lived and what they were doing, whether it be sports, children or military. She had a “Special’ place in her for her grandson Marshall (who is autistic) and he loves to laugh and be with his ‘mama’ Teri.
She had the best green thumb ever - she could grow anything and her plants were amazing. The last couple of years she was introduced to growing and propagating African violets with her sister Faith. This became therapy for her, since she was unable to do much outside her home, due to health conditions.
Teri was preceded in death by her parents Catherine Casey, Jesse Casey, her youngest daughter Lori (Marshall’s mother) and her beloved dogs Woody & Jake .
She is survived by her children: Marsha (Kevin) Jones. Nathan Eric Herzog, grandchildren Kristopher (Bethany) Jones, Kayla (Brandon) Williams, Brandon Jones, Cheyenne Herzog, and Marshall Herzog and 6 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Jerry Casey, sister and best friend, Faith Crump.
Teri was a member of North Jacksonville Baptist Church where she attended Ladies Sunday School, The Joy class. She was so thankful for their love especially when she couldn’t attend due to illness. The outpouring of kindness shown sending her many cards, sharing their thoughts and prayers for her.
A Celebration of her life service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at North Jacksonville Baptist Church, 8531 N Main St., Jacksonville, Florida, in the Fellowship hall. Her family would like for you to attend and share your favorite memories of her.
