Mercia I am so sorry for your lose and am sorry for not staying in touch after you and John moved back to Florida. We should never take friendships for granted. John and Maria were like family to me and when you married John and moved to Maryville I was so happy to have my family near by. Danny and Jennifer loved you all. I am so thankful they had you and John in their family. He will be missed. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

John was one of a kind and will be missed dearly. John and Mercia completed one another. I am so sorry for your loss and completely shocked to learn that he has passed.

I would imagine that the hardest part of loving someone as dearly as you two love one another, is this. 
This moment where your lover seems so far. 
This moment where life seems so unreal. 
Fear not. 
That ache in your chest is surely him trying to remind you how much he loves you. And those tears on your face are his because he knows how alone you may come to feel at times, and he would never want that for you.
You love one another with your full being, and that will never change no matter what the circumstances may seem like. 
I fondly think about the way you two tease and poke fun at each other, and I know that you two are so in love just from those exchanges. I can only imagine that some of this time 'apart' will be spent thinking up new ways to taunt one another. 
I know that we all believe we have a piece of John in our hearts, but as generous as he is, I'm sure he gave all of it that he could to you. Whatever may be left over, he's saving for when you meet again, though I'm sure he's hoping that you don't join him too soon because he needs some time to think of good jokes for your reunion.

John, you will be missed by so many for so long. You brought Mercia happiness in her life and always went out of your way to help others. I will miss the company of your visits with Mercia to South Florida. Thanks for the memories.

It was a great pleasure to have known you and John when the two of you were here in East Tennessee for several years and I had the enjoyment of working with you for quiet sometime. You are not alone in your grief....I suffer with you and will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Mercia...it won't be the same without John by your side but what a great love you both had for each other. John is a very special man that was very kind. He will be truly missed.
