Tommie L Markham, 95, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 2, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Iva, his oldest son Charles L Markham Sr., daughter in law Lila Mae Markham, and great granddaughter Megan White. Tommie proudly served in the US Army during WWII and retired from Seaboard Coastline Railroad (CSX) in 1983. He was a member of Lane Avenue Church of God for more than 60 years. He is survived by two sons, Larry Markham and Jerry Markham(Wanda); eight grandchildren- Arlette Markham, Brenda White (Terry), Vicki Young (Wayne), Larry Markham Jr. (Jennifer), Charles Markham Jr. (Kim), Teresa Gifford (Andy), Michael Markham (Angela), and Scott Markham (Cristina); fourteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends and family 10:00 –11:00 am Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Lane Avenue Church of God, 2956 Lane Ave N, Jacksonville, Fl 32254. Funeral Services will follow the visitation at 11:00 am at the church. Interment will follow the services at Riverside Memorial Park.
