Vera K. Bowman, 81, of Jacksonville, Florida went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2011. She was born in Douglas, Georgia and a long time residence of Jacksonville, Florida. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Jacksonville. Ms. Vera will be dearly missed by her loving family and friends.
She is survived by her loving husband John B. Bowman, Sr. after 60 years of marriage. Son John B. Bowman, Jr.; daughters Nancy Ellison, Susan Stedman, Kathy Pickett and Wendy West; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2011. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2011 all located at Town and Country Funeral Home 7242 Normandy Blvd Jacksonville, Florida 32205. Burial will follow to Riverside Memorial Park.
