Vickie Lynn Turner

Vickie Lynn Turner, age 73, passed away unexpectedly on April 4th, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. Vickie was born on February 5th, 1949 in Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was a devoted and loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother, better known as GaGa to her grandchildren, and a dear friend to many. Vickie was also a devoted homemaker, and always made sure her family came first and was cared for with unconditional love and compassion. Vickie always made sure her family was well taken care of with many home cooked meals she lovingly prepared for them. She loved her Lord and Savior, and enjoyed spending her mornings with her husband, Nigel, reading scriptures and enjoying coffee together.

Vickie was a member of Jones Road Baptist Church. Her hobbies included gardening, tending to her plants at home, painting, and she loved watching birds, especially hummingbirds. She enjoyed being outside, looking at the clouds, and loved keeping up with the weather; she would have loved to have been a meteorologist.

Vickie is preceded in death by her father, Paul Strigle; her father-in-law and mother-in-law Arthur and Ruby Turner; and her only son, Dale Scott Turner. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 54 years Nigel Anthony Turner; her daughter Tammy Lynn Hildebrand and son-in-law Eric Hildebrand; her mother, Allene Strigle; granddaughter Taylor V. Hildebrand; and grandson Dalton T. Hildebrand, all of Jacksonville, Florida.
