William Conroy Aldermon

William Conroy Aldermon, age 71, passed away on December 2, 2025. He was born in Lessie, FL to Benjamin Alderman, Sr. and Marietta Smith Alderman on March 22, 1954. He spent time in the U. S. Navy after graduating from Andrew Jackson High School.

William “W.C.” worked at Universal Southern Corporation, a pipe supplier company, for years. He was a devoted GATOR and Jaguar fan and loved watching either of his teams play football and basketball. He was a very competitive Checkers and Domino player and enjoyed listening to R & B, old school music, and spending time with his wife, whom he lovingly called his nightingale.

W.C. is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Gwendolyn Aldermon; sons, Christopher Corbitt (Yvette), Darrian Corbitt and Craig Aldermon; daughter, Leticia Aldermon Jones; brothers, Benjamin Alderman (Beatrice), Howard Alderman (Jerutha), Donald Alderman (Cheryl), Freddie Alderman (Phyllis), Jackie Alderman, Rodney Alderman (Misty), and James Alderman (Michelle); sisters, Taleen Ashby (John) and Theresa Jordon (Kevin); sisters-in-law, Sharon Adullah, Janice Simmons and Karen Higden; brothers-in-law, Gregory Corbitt and Craig Corbitt; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents, Benjamin Alderman, Sr. and Marietta Alderman; brother, Kenneth Alderman and sister, Joyce Mason.

A committal service will be held at Jacksonville National Cemetery, located at 4083 Lannie Rd, Jacksonville, FL, 32218, United States. The service is scheduled for December 12, 2025, from 11:30 am to 12:00 pm.
