He retired from A&P Tea Company in the late 1970s and pursued his entrepreneur spirit in several
fields during the recent years. He was a long time active member of First Baptist Church of
Jacksonville. He will be sorely missed in his earthly home but we rejoice knowing he is with Jesus
in his heavenly home.
Mr. Bell is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gloria Bell, his son, William Bell, Jr., grandchildren
Jennifer Gamenthaler(Andrew), Kylie Bell and great grandchildren Adam and Autumn Gamenthaler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James “Frank” Bell and Annie Estelle Motes, his sisters,
Jeanette Smith and Vera Hannah and his brother Robert Bell, Sr.
The Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 4 – 5 PM with a memorial
service to follow at 5 PM at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N.,
Jacksonville, FL 32225.
