Doc Bob graduated from the University of Georgia with two degrees: a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry in 1964 and a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy in 1969. As a pharmacist, he worked for many companies in Jacksonville including Preston Pharmacy, Albertsons, Walgreens, Winn-Dixie and Sam’s Club. He was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Baldwin and a past Master Mason of Duval Lodge 159. He enjoyed life to the fullest and had a wonderful, distinctive laugh recognized by all who knew and loved him. His passions included spending time with family, traveling, coin collecting, antiquing, visiting flea markets, dancing, and enjoying good food.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Marion Louquincy McCorkle and William Ford Culpepper.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sara R. Culpepper; his children, William R. “Bob” Culpepper, Jr., Karen Culpepper Falkenberry and her husband, Eric, Andrew Culpepper and his wife, Nicole, and Charles Mann. He had four grandchildren: Amanda Bilodeau and her husband, Bob; Ryan Culpepper; Alec Falkenberry; and Colin Falkenberry. He had five great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He also had one sister, one half-brother, and three stepbrothers.
