William (Bill) Dieas, was a devoted husband to his wife, Vicky. They shared a wonderful life together during their 42 years of marriage. Bill was Vicky’s rock, and she was the love of his life. Vicky loved him very much and admired his thoughtfulness. He was a loving father to his daughters, Amber and Lina, and son, Nick. He was always their biggest cheerleader and was so proud of all of their accomplishments. He was the first person they called when they had a celebration and when they needed his advice. He was the center of their world and they relied on him for everything. Bill also had a special bond with each of his grandchildren, Chris, Noah, Easton, Tyson, Luke, Harper and Colin. They were his entire world and gave his life meaning. You were guaranteed to hear him talk about his love for all his children and grandkids and how proud he was of them. His brothers, Clarence and Mike, and sisters, Sandra and Frankie, were very dear to him and remained close all throughout his life. He loved them with all his heart. Bill was truly happiest when he was surrounded by his family and loved ones.
To those who were lucky enough to know Bill, you were guaranteed to always walk away feeling better than before and full of hope. Bill was full of love and excitement in Christ and committed to share how much the word of God changed his life. He was eager to tell his story to help others know they are not alone. Bill was never too busy to give a listening ear without judgement and offered sincere words of encouragement and understanding. He never asked for anything in return only that we pay it forward. Bill’s love and understanding along with his faith for Christ has changed so many lives and will live on for generations to come.
Bill’s true passion was helping others in any way he could, which is why he dedicated so much time, energy, and his whole heart to coaching kids on and off the baseball field. He believed every child deserves a chance to achieve their dreams and would always be there to support them. He remained involved in the baseball community, even after the seasons ended. He loved to tell everyone about how much the kids accomplished and how far they will go. His commitment and dedication to see these kids reach their goals was never done.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother and father, Agnes and Lester Dieas, his brother-in-law, W. Wright "Mac" McClain, Jr., niece Alexis, and nephew Tyler.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky (Gillard); children Amber Pirch (Mike), Lina Mobley (Russell), and Nick Price (Jackie); grandchildren Christopher, Noah, Harper, Easton, Luke, Colin, and Tyson; sisters Sandra McClain and Frankie Klenk (Bob) and brothers Clarence Dieas and Mike Smith (Darlene); as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends, and ballpark family.
We are able to find comfort in knowing he is finally home and now our guardian angel still cheering us on. His spirit will always remain a big part of every memorable moment because he was bigger than life and truly left his mark on this world. He was loved by all and will be missed dearly. His unwavering faith is why we know he is rejoicing in heaven. Until we meet again.
