Sara and King and Jack,  Your Dad(brother)  was a childhood friend of mine, and I knew him well.  I was so sorry to hear of his sickness and death.  He was a good man and will be missed.  PLEASE know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Sarah and King - 
I've only met you a couple of times - one of the times was at Granny King's 100th birthday party. 
When I was a child, I enjoyed going to your dad's home in Anderson. We played with his trains in the basement. I wore knickers that were his hand-me-downs. 
Later our paths crossed again when he dated a lady who was a school teacher here in Snellville. 
So as you can see, as 1st cousins, we stayed in touch from childhood on. 
He was very proud of the two of you. 
And, I am sure you are very proud of him!

Dear Sarah and King,

Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your dad. Since he was several years older than me, I never knew him very well, but he brought Aunt Helen to my Dad's funeral and I had the chance to spend some time with him then.  He seemed like a very nice person.  I'm sorry I didn't get to know him better.

Again, I'm very sorry for your loss, but I know he is having a good time with Aunt Helen and Uncle Palmer.

Sarah and King, 
      Although I have never met King, I want you both to know that your Dad was the best friend that I had in adulthood. We shared many, many good times, as well as many serious times, together.  I had wanted to come see him since his surgery, but (as a lawyer) I have been in trial for three weeks and had in mind coming to visit after it was over.  Would very much like to come to the funeral, but it does not look as if I will be able to make it.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and with my good friend Bill.
