William Guy Kirkland III

William Guy Kirkland III, 67 of Nassau County passed away on March 19, 2025 in Lake City, Florida, at the VA Hospital-Hospice. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on December 7, 1957 to William Guy Kirkland II and Inez Cady.

Guy graduated from Ed White High School in 1976 and decided on a career going into the military. He served in the Army from June 29, 1976 to August 28, 1979. After serving he went into the National Guard for an additional 15 years. When getting out of the service he started his career with TTX, where he worked on train cars as a welder until his retirement in 2019. Guy loved to be outdoors and being in the woods with his friends. His main hobbies included fishing and hunting.

Guy is survived by his sons; William Guy Kirkland IV (Amanda), Nathan Kirkland, his granddaughter; Nora, a sister; Alisa (Otto Campos), Nicky Harvey, Victor Cady, Norma (Daryl Robinson), and Tammy Davis.

He was preceded in death by William Guy Kirkland II (Lillian), Inez (Ralph Cady), Carol Hendrix, Urby Cady.

A visitation for Guy will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A celebration of his life will occur on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, followed immediately by a committal ceremony at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
