

After serving in the Air Force, Bill earned his degree in Marine Biology. He retired from the US Army Corp of Engineers. He was a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church for 25 years, where he volunteered with The Legion of Mary and taught CCD for 20 years.
He is predeceased by his parents, William Joseph Lang and Roberta Lang. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Betty Jean (Sagirs) Lang, and his seven children: Monica Osiecki (Andy), Renee Bascon (Jose), Justin Lang (Amanda), Mary Lang, Gregory Lang (ClaraAnn), Daniel Lang, and Thomas Lang. He leaves behind 15 grandchildren: Henry and Clover (Monica); Bridget, Clara, Annie, and Cordelia (Renee); Dominic, Benedict, and Maximilian (Justin); Marlise, Aloysious, Tarra Colette, and Gloria (Mary); Alisha (Gregory); and Noah (Daniel). He leaves 3 siblings behind: Roberta Sullivan (Joe), Joseph Lang (Rhonda), and Robert Lang (Lora), as well as nieces and nephews.
The family will have a Visitation/Divine Mercy on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 6-8 pm.at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home, 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL 32225. The funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 11 am at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 11665 Ft. Caroline Rd. Jacksonville, FL 32225.
