MALLARD - Mr. William (Bill) Roy Mallard, age 85, of Sanderson FL passed away peacefully on August 30th at home. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on January 4, 1933 to Roy A. Mallard and Mary Lee Mallard. He lived in Jacksonville and moved to Baker County in 1986. He honorably served in the US Marine Corp and served in Korea and Japan. After military service, he worked for the Seaboard Coastline Railroad for 42 years as a Brakeman/Conductor. He was known as a hard and faithful worker and truly enjoyed his job. He faithfully served the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church Macclenny. As much as his family will miss his presence, they rejoice knowing he is in heaven and that they will all be reunited. Mr. Mallard is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joan Mallard, and his 2 daughters, Amy (Jody) Hicks of Sanderson and Beth (Donnie) Parvin of Jacksonville; 5 grandchildren, Brooke (Tyler) Foerman, Loren (Kyle) Horton, Wesley Parvin, Chandler Merritt and Jacob Merritt. A funeral service to honor the life of Mr. Mallard will be held on Tuesday September 4th at First Baptist Church Macclenny, FL. Reverend Edsel Bone, Pastor of First Baptist Church Macclenny, Jacob Merritt, Youth Pastor of Nineteen Hundred Church, longtime friend, John Harrell and granddaughter Brooke Foerman will officiate the service.
