I am so sorry to hear of Zena's passing. She was a wonderful friend to me during my childhood years. Zena, Lisa Jacobs and I doing crazy kid stuff.....back in the good ole days. I will always remember her and carry her in my heart. I was thankful when she tracked me down when Lisa was sick and we got to talk some. Time takes everyone elsewhere but the memories will be forever. Mrs Dusan was also my 3rd grade teacher. I pray for her family and friends in this difficult time. May your memories help heal your heart, until you see her again.

My deepest sympathy and heart felt thoughts and prayers goes out to Zena's family and closest and dearest friends. I have read a lot of condolences for the the family on facebook. Apparently Zena had a great impact on many people lives through the years. I myself met Zena and Victor when I was 9 yrs old. They're mother Mrs. Dusan was my 3rd grade teacher. The last time I seen Zena was when I was 19. She always did have a big beautiful smile. She has completed her work here on earth. God needs her now. May God bless you all...

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Victor, I remember you and Zena as little children when your mother was teaching at Brookview.  All the good times we had with our special group of Brookview friends.  Zena was such a sweet soul and I know how much y'all will miss her.

You brought me so much joy. You understood and accepted people for who they were. You always laughed and enjoyed the good in people then laughed at the bad in them as well. Zena for the most part you were a wise woman. I forgot your birthday a lot over the years and u never complained as u in turn remembered mine every year. If it wasn't for you I would have been friendless in school . After as our lives continued to grow, u remained a constant influence . Now at this time with ur passing, I feel the loss strongly - I am friendless again.  Goodbye
