Allen Kaplan, age 68 of Shelby Township, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014. Allen was the beloved husband of the late Janet who preceded him in death on August 31, 2000; loving father of Kristen (Anthony) Bracey, Bryan (Tiffany) Kaplan, Katy Kaplan and Kandace Kaplan; grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 3; brother of Marilyn (Allen) Rubin and the late Fran (Ronnie) Chaiken. He also leaves behind his faithful companion Misa. Allen enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved watching TV. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 727 Orchard Lake Rd., Pontiac, Michigan on Monday, May 19, 2014 under auspices of the United States Army . Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
