Doreen Brian

Doreen Brian (nee Morris), age 75, died in Henry Ford Hospital, West Bloomfield. She was a victim of cancer which was detected in May 2012. She fought valiantly, eventually succumbing on the morning of April 3, 2013. Doreen was born in Newbury, England on January 22, 1938 and came to America in 1956. She returned to England frequently to visit friends and relatives (she had a sister and 4 brothers). She married twice, and her second husband Michael Brian, as well as her daughter, Anita Halprin, (by her first marriage) were with her when she died. Doreen's niece, Zoe Cameron, from England, and grandson, Martin Halprin, were tireless in attending to her needs and offering much needed support during this time. Doreen had an ebullient personality, with a consuming love for her family, antiques and historical places. She had a variety of friends and the loss of her unique personality will create a little void in the universe. We who knew and loved her will be the poorer for her leaving.
