Edward J. Rose Sr.

Edward James Rose Sr. of Sylvan Lake, age 78, passed peacefully November 28, 2012 surrounded by his family. Born October 17, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to Earl and Emily Rose, Edward grew up to meet and marry the true love of his life Norma Jean Curcuruto. As a Steel Worker in the Tool and Die Industry Edward and Norma Jean raised three Children who blessed them with seven Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Norma Jean, Edward is survived by his children Edward (Diane) Rose Jr., Elaine (Kenneth) Higgins and Norman (Terri) Rose; Grandchildren Marie, Amy, Sara, Brett, Conner, Jameson and Patrick and Great-Grandchildren Abigail, Caleigh, Aubrey and Lauren. Edward was blessed with the gift of gab and the listener's ear, having these gifts he made many friends and will be missed by all who knew him. At Edwards request a private family cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday December the 8th at 10:00 AM at Peace Lutheran Church 11701 Twelve Mile Rd. Warren, MI 48093. A luncheon in honor of Edward to share memories and fellowship will immediately follow service. Memorials suggested to Elim Fellowship 1703 Dalton Rd. Though Edwards unwavering faith he made the following Christian Declaration.

I commit myself to God's care, secure in His love for me and trusting in the salvation purchased for me through my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's suffering and death. I leave those who survive me in the comfort of knowing that I have died in faith and have now joined my Lord in eternal glory. I commend my loved ones to the protecting arms of God, knowing that He will continue to provide for them despite my absence; and I encourage them to place their faith and trust in Him alone.
