Leonard was predeceased by his loving wife Lee Stempien and sister, Constance Deighan. He is survived by his children Paul (Jodi) Stempien and Steve (Jennifer) Stempien; grandchildren Gabrielle, Colin, and Kate.
Leonard graduated from St. Alphonsus School in Dearborn, was a member of Our Lady of Refuge Parish, and served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 and received a National Defense Service Medal.
A funeral will be held on Thursday July 11, 2024 at 12:30 pm at Great Lakes National Cemetery, located at 4200 Belford Rd in Holly Michigan.
