I was so saddened to have come across this obituary for Robin Edwards today.  Robin was one of my closest friends during my mid to late teens and we had spent considerable time together.  We had lost touch in our early twenties when we began to run in different social circles though I had continued to think of her on and off through the years.  Recently, she entered my mind again when I attended a James Taylor/Carole King concert a couple months back here in the San Francisco Bay area where I now live.  I will never forgot the two of us decided to drive to Florida for some fun and sun when we were 19 years old and when we returned, we made the decision to drive straight through.  It was just the two of us and it took us 23 hours straight.  We had no car radio and only on tape to play on the tape player.  The tape was called Tapestry by Carole King.  To this day, I do not like listening to Carole King songs Hah!  Robin was an absolute beauty of a young woman with a heart of gold.  She was sweet and kind to everyone who knew her and just loved to have fun!!!  I really only knew a couple of family members very well, her sister Pam, and of course her Mom, who I remember to this day as having a great sense of humor.  She was always warm and open to me when I would visit the house.  I still have a picture of Robin when she was 15 years old taken in my living room when we lived on Prevost.  She was all dressed up in a short white dress looking beautiful as always and we were going to a prom that night (St. Marys of Redford?)  I think my brother Mike was her date.  Lot of good times and great memories. She will surely be missed by all who knew her.

Dearest Edwards Family:

I can't imagine the grief that you all are going through right now.  My memories of Robin are, of course, very happy ones when we were all younger.  Those memories will remain with me always.  Robin was beautiful, smart and a lot of fun.  I pray you all can get through this with peace.

We grew up together because our parents were life-long friends. I remember you, you had such a great flair for life and a special presence that everyone adored. You will be missed as a beautiful lady and a dear childhood friend. My heart is heavy for your family as they celebrate your life in passing. Till we meet again, may the Lord keep you in his hand.

Love you Robin. You will always be our 4th sister. Thanks for all the fun & laughs we shared. You were a joy. I'll see that bright STAR in the sky & know it is you. BE GOOD and give my love to Gator. Bye for now Sweetie. Nancy

My dearest friend, Robin.  You will forever be in my heart.  We sure had some great times over the past couple of decades.  Even after we got separated by work, we always seemed to remain close and I will always charish that friendship.  I love you girl!
