Thomas H. Hoyt, 94, of Sylvan Lake, died April 22, 2011. He was the beloved husband of Helen for 72 years. Surviving is his son, Richard (Mary Anne); sisters-in-law Betty Hoyt of Waterford and Lillian Hoyt of Illinois. Thomas was the proud grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle of many. He was predeceased by his four brothers. He drove a Marathon tanker for the Clark Oil Company until his retirement.
Tom was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles (F.O.E.) Aerie 2887 of Waterford for more than 50 years. He served as the F.O.E. State Photographer, member of the Ritual Team, and was a Past-Worthy President. He enjoyed bowling, traveling, and golfing.
Memorial contributions in his name may be given to the American Cancer Society. A memorial luncheon will be held at noon on May 14 at the Waterford Fraternal Order of Eagles, 4761 Highland Road.
