Angela Farlow, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and educator, peacefully passed away on July 24, 2025, at the age of 61.
Born on March 6, 1964, in Clinton, Oklahoma, Angela’s life was a reflection of compassion, wisdom, and an unwavering commitment to her family, and students. She shared a loving 35-year partnership with her husband, Charles Farlow, a marriage built on deep affection, respect, and lasting friendship.
Angela was the proud mother of two children and two stepchildren along with a devoted grandmother, known affectionately as "Grandma" to her seven grandchildren. She found immense joy in being involved in their lives—whether traveling to visit them or hosting cherished holiday dinners. Her nurturing spirit, devotion and sense of humor left an indelible mark on each of them.
As an educator for over 28 years, Angela dedicated her life to teaching middle school students. She was not only a mentor but a guiding light for many, creating a classroom environment where children felt valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. Angela believed wholeheartedly in the power of education, often encouraging her students with her own motto:
“If I Believe It, I Can Achieve It! What is it? Excellence!”
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. Angela found strength in the power of prayer and lived a life of purpose. Whether at church, with her family, or in the classroom, she offered her time and heart freely to those she loved.
As much as Angela loved teaching throughout the years, she enjoyed being a student herself as she had received the following degrees - Associates of General Studies from Central Texas College, Bachelor of Educational Administration from University of Mary Hardin - Baylor and her Masters of Educational Administration from Tarleton State University. In 2003, 2004, and 2005 Angela was chosen for the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers! Prior to Angela's journey in education she served as a Platoon Sergeant for the United States Army.
Angela leaves behind her devoted husband, Charles Farlow, her children—DeAngela (Simerpal) Singh, Charles Farlow II, and stepchildren Chasity (Ryan) Kling and Lacey (Jason) Krohn—as well as her seven grandchildren: Annabel, Marshal, Tunajah, Jaidon, Sundae, Beckett, and Nihal. She is also survived by her brothers, Adrian and Aubrey, along with a loving extended family, friends, and former students who will forever cherish her memory.
A Celebration of Angela’s Life will be held at Tabernacle Baptist Church, located at 6601 S Fort Hood St. #5527, on Tuesday, August 5th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m.
Angela’s legacy is one of quiet strength, boundless love, and a life devoted to helping others. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
