

Mr. Benford Griffin was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 13, 1963 to the late Algene Griffin and Lannie Sue Hampton Brown. Benford joined the United States Army at the age of 18. Benford retired with an Honorable discharge after serving 20 years in the United States Army.
Benford and Loria were united in holy matrimony January 9, 1984.
Benford accepted the Lord into his life and served him faithfully. He attended Grace Christian Center of Killeen, Texas.
On August 26,2022 Benford departed this life at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple,Texas to go live with the Lord.
Benford leaves to cherish his memories and to celebrate his life, his loving wife of 38 years, Loria A. Griffin; two sons Cedric Lavon (Jasmyn) Griffin of Fort Bliss,Texas, Adonis Bentrell Griffin of Killeen,Texas; six grandchildren Cedric Lavon Griffin Jr, Mia L Willis, Zaire Griffin, Eon Mann Alijah Griffin, Faith Lynn Griffin; Step father Mr. Henry Lee Brown of Dekalb, MS; two brothers Chenier ( Karen ) Griffin of Fairview Heights, IL , Kevin Griffin of Dekalb, MS; three sisters Sue Brenda (The late John Henry Grady) of Meridian, MS., Debra (Johnny) Gowdy of Lauderdale, MS. and Tomiko McKenzie of Meridian, MS.
He is also survived by five uncles; Nathaniel (Mary)Hampton of Hewytown, Alabama, Monroe Hampton of Meridian, MS, AL Sylvester of Philadelphia, MS, Wesley Hampton of Dekalb, MS, Malcom Hampton of Tupelo MS; three aunts Addie Brown of Noxapater, MS, Joyce ( Willie) Grady of Dekalb, MS, Linda Hampton of Dekalb MS; three Brother - In- Laws, Walter L Shields of Temple, TX, Leon Shields of Ridgeland, MS, Giles (Monika) Cayson of Killeen, TX; three Sister - In- Laws, Renee M (Lathan) Moore of Killeen, TX, Lawanda Shields of Dekalb, MS, Cassandra Shields of Georgia and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
