Buford Douglas Stanley

Buford, honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War, retiring after 21 years as SSGT in 1973.

He is survived by his daughters, Donna Lynn Stanley and Deanna Kay Stanley; adopted sons, William Clayton Stanley and Michael Kevin Stanley; brother, Melvin Ray Stanley; sister, Iva Louise Harris; 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Jesse Daniel Stanley, Verna Lee Robinson, Donnie Edward Stanley, Richard John Stanley, Granville Murdoch Stanley, and his wife, Lynda Ruth Stanley.

A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Church of Christ of Youngsport. A luncheon will be provided at church prior to service, starting at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.
