Carol was born September 23, 1960 to John H. Perry and Eva Ann Mitchell Perry in Georgetown, Texas. She graduated with the inaugural class from Ellison High School in 1979 and attended Central Texas College. Carol married Richard T. (Rick) Chapman on January 6, 1995 and would have celebrated 22 years of marriage. Carol was preceded in death by her father, John, and is survived by her husband, Rick Chapman of Harker Heights, mother, Eva Ann of Harker Heights, daughter, Lisa Emmons Plummer, sister, Susan Perry Tilman of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and numerous family. She was a long time resident of the Killeen area and a faithful fan of The University of Texas Longhorns’ football team. Carol was employed by Bell County Pre-Trial Services. She liked to laugh, and thoroughly enjoyed watching A Charlie Brown Christmas. Growing up, Carol was typically found outside and going fishing with her dad. She listened to Willie’s Roadhouse but as a product of the 1970s, also liked Donnie Osmond and the Jackson Five. She was a highly competitive Gin Rummy and Spades card player-if you were her partner, you’d better know your game. Although she preferred not being in the kitchen, Carol made a memorable spaghetti, and amazing guacamole that were requested for many family gatherings. She passed suddenly Friday, December 16th, and will be missed by many. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at Seton Medical Center, Harker Heights for their care and compassion.
