Clarence Powell

Clarence Powell was born December 16, 1943 to the late Suvera Morris and James Powell. He departed this life on April 9, 2014.

He served honorably in the US Army for twenty one years. He was also employed by the Killeen Independent School District.

He is survived by his wife Myong Powell, daughters Cynthia Monroe (Rodney), Dedra Wynn (Ricky), one son Greg Powell, Step daughter Jeannie Moore (Billy). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren.

Survivors also include five sisters; Shirley Beasley (Robert) Adelaide Kendrick, Vivian Morris, Theresa Morris and Mary Powell. Also survived by three brothers Charles Morris (Sharon), Allen Morris (Peggy) and William Powell. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Martha Blythe and Jettie Parrott and step-father Charles Morris.

“The lord saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put His arms around you and whispered “Come with Me” with tearful eyes we watched you suffer and saw you fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay, a golden heart stopped beating a beautiful smile at rest God broke our hearts to Prove He only takes the best.”
