Don Mikles

Don was born March 12, 1950 in Paris, Arkansas to Marvin & Ina Mikles. Don grew up in Killeen, Texas, and he graduated from Killeen High School in 1968. Don furthered his education in 1972 graduating from the University of Texas. He later received his Masters degree from American Technological University.

He worked at Central Texas College from 1973-2010, starting as director of Records & retired as The Dean of Central Campus.

Don is survived by his wife Pamela of 52 years, his son Kyle Mikles, daughter Kelly Mach and her husband, Stephen Mach, and his grandchildren, A.A, Everett, Carter, & Maveryck. He is also survived by his brother, James Mikles. Don is also survived by his brother in-laws David Crawford and Asa Jones. His sister in-laws are Royce Crawford, Valerie Crawford & Donna Marsh. Nephews & Niece are John Mikles, Rowdy Zett, Gage Coddington, & Tiffany Bohuslavicky. He is also survived by cousins, Penny, Marilyn, & Alan, Barbara, Anna & Lester.

Don was preceded in death by His Parents Marvin & Ina Mikles, and his nephews, Jason & Aaron Crawford.

A visitation & reception will be held at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen Monday, April 6, 2026 from 5:00-7:00 PM. Graveside services are Tuesday April 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM at North Belton Cemetery, Belton, Texas.

Don Milton Mikles will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.
