Doris Lena Teegardin

She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Larry, Jody (Yvette), Jorge, Archie, and Michael (Diana); grandchildren: Shawn, Brittany, Whitney, Jonathan, Matthew, Patrick, Miranda, Lexi, Tiffany, Tristan, Kindall, Hunter, Justin, Dylan, Mason, Alex, Joshua, Steven, Branden, and Sydney; 14 great grandchildren; sisters: Elke (Don) and Ursula; as well as numerous relatives and friends.

She is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Derryll; son, Calvin; and her parents.

Born in 1950 in Edendorf, Germany, she married at 19 and, by 20, she was the mother of a blended family with 6 sons. She wanted nothing more than to own a restaurant and become a U.S. citizen. Both of her dreams were accomplished in the 1980's. Her biggest passion, however, was raising her family. She always showed up for her children and grandchildren, in unexpected ways. Her care and concern was always there and it will transcend the test of time.

A Celebration of Doris’ Life will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home located at 1615 S. Ft. Hood Rd, Killeen, Texas 76542.
