Services for Norman Doyle Dickens, 75, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen.
Mr. Dickens died July 2, 2012.
He loved his Savior, and lived to do his work. Doyle was ordained as a deacon in the Baptist church on Oct. 29, 1995.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ollie Virginia Rhodes Dickens; dad, Thomas Watson Dickens; sisters, Evon Dickens and Ruby Elizabeth Dickens Schlottman; brothers, W.O. Dickens and Floyd Thomas Dickens; and great-granddaughter, Chelsea Xeris Navarro of Gatesville.
Survivors include his wife, Novel Dickens, of Gatesville; two sons, Doyle Thomas and his wife, Teresa, of Gatesville, and Durrell and his wife, Anne, of Galveston; a daughter, Scharllottee, and her husband, Tommy Anderson, of Temple; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
