Effie Lorraine (Bowen) Jordan

Effie Jordan of Killen passed away Friday June 29th at Seton Hospital Harker Heights. Long term health issues contributed to her unexpected death. Born 7 July 1947 in St. Albans. West Virginia to Earnest and Bonnie Bowen; in 1962 she married Larry Jordan, her husband of 56 years. They spent 27 years with the US Army traveling the world, finally settling in Killeen in1990. A long-term employee of Bell County, she retired from the Killeen Vehicle Registration Office 2007.

Survived by her husband, a brother, a sister, her remaining children and all her grandchildren.

Effie was mother to 4 sons, Cary, Bryan, Larry Jr., and Gregory. Grandmother to 12, Jacob, Bryan, Allen, Jeremy, Katie, Larry III, Nickolas, Eric, Ian, Duncan, Daisy and Decklin.

She is predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, and her son Bryan. An informal gathering to celebrate her life will be held Monday 2 July 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home 1615S. Fort Hood Rd. Killeen.
