Hanna lived at the nursing home in Bastrop where my father in law resides.  She was my favorite resident there, she would light up the room with her laugh and say helloo from across the room! I missed that this last year as she was getting more withdrawn. Something I wanted to share with the family from this past Christmas a few months ago. My son and his German girlfriend were visiting from Nuremberg Germany, I took Kristina to Hannas room where Kristina sung  Christmas carols to her in German and spoke to her and prayed with her in German. Hanna said just a few one word responses and began to laugh...like old times.  Kris talked to her about her native bremerhaven.  She definitely lit up in her presence. I cried as I walked out of the room, tears of joy for the connection that I saw being made. Rest in peace beautiful Hanna, you will be missed sweetheart

Oh, how much can I say that Grandma touched my life!  She was like a mother to me and I was like a daughter to her.  She was the best Grandma my daughter that I have ever seen.  She left hard shoes to fill for me as a Grandparent.  When I was single and also the whole time I was raising Shauna by myself, she and Grandpa were there for us.  Every Tuesday, her only day off from work she was so selfless.  She would drive to Copperas Cove to pick Shauna up from school and take her home with her to spend time together.  She loved her so much.  Sometimes, I would drive to pick Shauna up from the Boswell's house, but sometimes she would make that drive again to Copperas Cove to drop her off.  Every time I needed a babysitter when I was dating, or if we needed anything, she was there for me.  She never questioned me or did it begrudgingly.  She did it out of love and kindness to both myself and Shauna.  Grandma and I were very close.  She always said I was a daughter to her and not an ex-daughter-in-law.  I was closer to Grandma than I was to my own mother.  We shared many wonderful times together laughing and crying.  When Shauna was sick as a child I would run to Grandma's house for help and she always greeted me with open arms.  If I had a problem she was always there to listen and advise me.  As Shauna was growing up I would spend at least two evenings a week with her eating dinner, watching TV, enjoying Shauna together, and often spending the night, which would turn into us sitting together having hot tea (usually spiked with rum! LOL) until wee hours in the morning.  We hashed everything over and over again numerous times.  I believe that my daughter, Shauna, is the wonderful woman she is today because of the influence of Grandma.  Perhaps we all have turned out to be the people we are today because of Grandma's influence.  Grandma and I have had so many good times together I cannot count them.  Since most of her kids were living their own lives in other cities or countries, I was able to share an abundance of good times with her.  We would laugh so much together!  I will always miss her bright blue twinkling eyes.  Her excitement and enthusiasm about everything in life and her kindness.  Things were always so bootiful to her.

She will be greatly missed by us all! We all loved her so much.

Forever you will live. You are apart of my heart. My childhood memories are full of our time together. You brought so many traditions to my life that I continue to share with my children. Your smile, your touch and your words were always so sweet to me. I know you, Mr. Boswell and daddy are having a good time in heaven, as you always did. I can hear you now ... 'beautiful'. I love you and have always told you ... you were a second mom to me. I'll always share the china and the spoon story, as I know they were your favorite. Happy Heavenly Birthday. Little Nancy

May wonderful memories sustain you during this time. Hannalore was such a special friend to my parents and I loved spending time with her. I cherished our visits and conversations, thank you for sharing her with us before she went home to be with God.
