James "Jake" Deaton

The family will have a time of visitation on Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen.

Mr. Deaton passed away Thursday, July 21, 2011 in Temple.

James Daniel Deaton was born June 22, 1920 in Centerville, Texas to Daniel Martin and Jennie (Bailey) Deaton. He has lived in Texas all his life and in Nolanville for more than 40 years.

He worked for various moving and storage businesses including the Firestone and Mayflower Companies.

Mr. Deaton was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, a daughter, Mary Warren and a granddaughter, Ruby Hoover.

Survivors include two sons, Jim Deaton of Round Rock and Kenneth Deaton of Nolanville; two daughters, Myrt Williams of Kemper and Barbara Reding of Lampasas; a sister, Marie Reynolds of San Antonio; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
