

Funeral services for James E. Livingston, 67, of Copperas Cove, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 7th in the Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen. Graveside services will follow in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Mr. Livingston passed away October 3, 2011 in a Temple hospital.
James was born June 20, 1944 in Hartford, Connecticut to Harold K. and Rosemary Livingston. He was raised in Manchester, CT and earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Central Texas College in Killeen.
SFC Livingston retired from the US Army after more than 21 years of service with the 1st Calvary Division. During his military career, Jim received countless medals and commendations for excellent and superior service to his country. Included in his medals are the Good Conduct Medal, Army Commendation Medal; Rifle Expert Badge; Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon ;and Meritorious Service Medal.
He was a Master Mason for over 25 years, A Nobel of the Mystic Shrine, Karen Temple of Waco, Master of the Royal Secret Soldier of Light and Freedom, Past Master of the Royal Secret of the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite and Past Master of the Grand Lodge of Texas #1125.
Jim was a loving and devoted husband of 48 years to the love of his life, his wife, Renate, and he was also the love of her life.
He was blessed to have two families, one here in the United States and his family in Germany. He loved all of them with all his heart and soul. In addition to his family he was loved by all his many friends and he also loved them. He would always go out of his way to help anyone who needed assistance. He will be greatly missed by his wife, his two families and his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harold K. Livingston; a brother, Donald W. Livingston and his brothers-in-law, Siegfried Kiesewetter, Heinz Rossmann, Michael A. Pallo and George Kasevich; a sister-in-law, Evi Rossmann and his grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Renate H. Livingston; his mother, Rosemary E. Livingston; brother, Stephen P. Livingston; sisters, Joan L. Kasevich, Dianne M. Pallo, Laura J. Tedone; and many nephews, nieces, sisters and brothers in law and godchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Second Chance Animal Shelter.
