During marriage they had two boys who were her two treasures, Jeremy and Jonathan.
Growing up in the Ozark Hills of Missouri, Janicee was a strong, proud and independent woman who enjoyed fishing on the Gasconade River with her family and playing basketball. Throughout her life, Janicee had a passion for music, as she loved watching American Idol with her family and attending musicals such as Wicked on Broadway. She had a special connection with the musical Hamilton as it resonated with her experience as an 8th grade early American History teacher.
Janicee had a long career as a history teacher for 20 plus years and had a profound impact on many of the students she taught. She was fierce when it came to advocating for the best for her students. Some of the most powerful memories shared as a family were from former students attending their home to visit and thank her for her assistance in shaping their lives.
She also had a love for animals and would go out of her way to spoil her dogs. She loved her dogs Tootsie, Lucy and Lenny with all her heart.
Janicee was a proud Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her favorite player was Patrick Mahomes. Watching the Chiefs win the Super Bowl 3 times over the last few years was one of the biggest joys of her life.
Janicee lives on in the hearts of her husband David, her two sons Jonathan and Jeremy, her mother Alice, her sister Connie, her two brothers Jamie(Pam) and Eddie Jr., her nieces Shelby, Jessica, and Jenni and her nephews Mac and JT. She had a special relationship with her eldest nephew Mac and would think of him on numerous occasions and share military and life experiences with him.
