Jason R. Christensen

Funeral services for Jason R. Christensen, 28, of Killeen, will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen.

Mr. Christensen died Oct. 1, 2012, in Bellville while on his way to Houston. He was born May 3, 1984, in Newport News, Va., to Peter and Janalee (McNamer) Christensen.

He served in the U.S. Army and graduated from Temple College Sept. 28, 2012.

He enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins play football on television, shooting guns, Mustang cars and most of all spending time with his new baby girl.

Mr. Christensen was preceded in death by his mother.

Survivors include his loving wife, Amber Christensen of Killeen; his 8-month-old daughter, Emma Christensen of Killeen; his father, Peter Christensen of Baton Rouge, La.; two brothers, Christopher S. Christensen and his wife, Misty, of Baton Rouge, La., and Mark Christensen of Charleston, S.C.; a sister, Cassandra Mundie and her husband, David, of Aylett, Va.; his mother-in-law, Vickie Haynes of Killeen; his father in-law, Tim Haynes of Alabama; and numerous nieces and nephews.
