

Jon was born April 8, 1959, in Winchester, Indiana, to Paul and Patricia Hill Clark. A proud patriot, he answered the call to serve his country after graduating high school in 1977. During his first tour in South Korea, Jon met the love of his life, Haeng Hwa. They married on September 25, 1978, in Seoul, beginning a beautiful journey together.
Throughout his distinguished 24-year career in the U.S. Army, 1SG Clark served with honor, dedication, and unwavering commitment. He retired in 2002, leaving behind a legacy of leadership and selfless service.
Beyond his military career, Jon was a devoted husband, father, and friend. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life – spending time with his wife at their ranch, cherishing moments with his family, and strengthening his faith as a member of New Gate United Methodist Church.
Jon was preceded in death by his father, Paul Clark. He is survived by his beloved wife, Haeng Hwa Clark; his daughter, Jennie Clark; his son, Jeremiah Clark; his mother, Patricia Clark; his brother, Tim; and his sisters, Susan, Debbie, and Alyssa.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, 1615 S. Fort Hood St., Killeen, Texas 76542. He will be laid to rest with full military honors at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Jon’s kindness, strength, and devotion to his family and country will forever be remembered by those who knew and loved him.
