Jose Kuilan

Jose Kuilan Gonzalez was born on August 4, 1936 to the late Jose Kuilan Viscarrando and Flora Gonzalez in Hato Tejas, Bayamon, Puerto Rico. He passed away at the age of 86 in Killeen, Texas on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Mr. Kuilan Gonzalez joined the National Guard in 1964 and was later discharged for immediate enlistment in the United States Army on November 19, 1968. He was honorably discharged and was recognized for the following awards: Army Commendation Medal; Army Good Conduct Medal w/ Silver 1 Loop; National Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2); Vietnam Service Medal w/ 1 Silver and 1 Bronze Service Star; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm.

Mr. Kuilan Gonzalez was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Killeen, Texas. He participated and supported many of the church's activities to assist in supporting the church.

Left to cherish Mr. Kuilan Gonzalez's memories are his son, Jose Anthony Kuilan (Cathy Yvonne); Brothers, Pedro and Felix; Sister, Lydia Kuilan; Grandchildren: Jerrell Antonio, Jazmine Yvette, Angel Eliud; Great-Grandchildren: Ja'liz, Jayda, Kennedy, Juliette, Jahdiel, and Jehriel and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Jose Kuilan Viscarrando and Flora Gonzalez, his Wife, Urbana Kuilan Acevedo; Sons, Victor Manuel and Angel Luis Kuilan; Daughter Wanda Yvette Kuilan; Brothers Donecio, and Wenseslau Kuilan.

A Visitation for Jose will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, followed by a Rosary 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Service will occur Thursday, January 26, 2023 at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, followed by a Committal Service with Full Military Honors at 3:00 PM at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

The Kuilan Family are truly grateful for the love and support shown upon the homegoing of Mr. Jose Kuilan Gonzalez. Thank you for all the prayers, cards, phone calls, visits, and for all the kindness rendered unto us.
