Juanice and her husband, Frank, owned and operated Reliable TV Service for 31 years. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ since 1947, serving many years as a Sunday school teacher and preparing food for the sick, shut-ins, and bereaved. Together, Juanice and Frank opened their home for weddings, receptions, and other social activities for military families stationed at Ft. Hood.
Juanice lovingly sewed and tailored wedding gowns, bridesmaids’ dresses, and flower girl dresses. She crocheted countless pink and blue baby afghans for newborns—gifts cherished by family, friends, church members, and hospital nurseries. She proudly served as an elder’s wife while Frank was an elder at the Killeen Church of Christ.
Juanice was preceded in death by her son, James Edward (1951); her husband, Frank Killpatrick (2004); her sister, Shirley Doggett (2024); and her parents, Arthur and Nila Schmeid.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Killpatrick and his wife, Kay, of Austin; Steve Killpatrick and his wife, Kay, of Georgetown; and her daughter, Patti Johnston and her husband, Mark, of Salado. She leaves behind six grandchildren—Jacque Fewin and husband Ty, Nat Killpatrick and wife Stacey, Kimberly Armour and husband Dave, Rebekah Blanton and husband Chris, Bradley Johnston and wife Shawna, and Bryan Johnston and wife Megan—twenty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson, all the joy of her life.
