Karen Joyce Bean

Karen Joyce Bean (née Martindale), born March 15, 1953, passed away on December 25, 2025, at the age of 72. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose life was defined by devotion to family, compassion for others, and quiet strength.

Karen was born to Doyle and Marjorie Martindale and was the oldest of nine children. She embraced that role with love and responsibility, helping guide and care for her siblings and setting an enduring example of resilience, dedication, and selflessness.

She devoted her professional life to serving others as a medical laboratory technician in a doctor’s office, where she was known for her reliability, kindness, and genuine care for patients and coworkers alike.

Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Bean; her son, Dustin Arnold; and her parents, Doyle and Marjorie Martindale.

She is survived by her sons, Scott Arnold and Billy Arnold; her daughter-in-law, Christie Arnold; her grandchildren, Shelby Arnold and Jackson Arnold; and her siblings, who will forever cherish her memory and the love she gave so freely.

Karen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

A grave side service will be held at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas, on January 9, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
