SSG (Ret.) Kevin L. Hartbarger

Kevin, the son of Bill and Gerry Hartbarger, was born November 24, 1965 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He married Barbra Hartbarger on May 10, 1986 and they built a beautiful family with their two daughters, Jessica and Kristina.

He was medically retired from the United States Army as Staff Sergeant in 2008 and was decorated with numerous commendation and service medals during his 17 year career in the Army. Kevin then volunteered his time at the American Legion Post 573 as Post Commander and he also supported the family business, American Home and Living Solutions.

Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Bill Hartbarger.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Barbra Hartbarger and their daughters, Jessica and Kristina Hartbarger of Harker Heights, Texas; mother, sister and brother, Gerry Hartbarger, Stefanie Hartbarger and Shane Yost of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Paula Hartbarger of Denver, Colorado.

Kevin will always be remembered as a loving and fun son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend with an unforgettable smile and laugh that could fill any room and an even bigger heart.

A 7:00 PM Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 6, 2012 at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church. Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Inurnment will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 7, 2012 in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
