Kim Lynn Corey was born on June 22, 1971, in South Korea. She was raised in Killeen and attended Ellison High School graduating in 1989. A favorite of hers in school was being on the Excalibur team. She also enjoyed swimming.
Kim served as a Petty Officer 2nd Class in the US Navy during the 1st Gulf War. She was also stationed at Barbers Point Naval Air Station, Hawaii, and San Diego, California. Among the commendations she received were 2 Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
Kim worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service for most of her adult life. She filled in her free time with her hobbies of sewing and baking. Kim’s favorite companions were her pets, Ruthie, Poppy and Sandy.
Left to cherish her memory are her brother Michael and sister-in-law, Carolyn of Belton, and her cousins in Michigan.
Kim Casler’s final resting place will be next to her father, George J. Corey, Jr in the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas.
