Lewis J Holden

children, passed away at the age of 88. Lewis was born on June 16,

1931 in Vermillion, NY to Vera and James Holden.

His wife of 63 years and his children were his life.

His 28 year military career was his pride

The First Cavalry Division was his passion.

Camping, golf, and Special Olympics were his pleasures.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters and a brother.

Survivors includes his wife, Marlene, his four children Cindy Johnson

(Craig), Lewis Holden (Shanna), Cherryl Rice (Ken) and Christine

Holden (Lena). His grandchildren; Mark Johnson, James Johnson,

Shane Berry, Terrance Berry, Emily Rice and Kale Clawson; great

grandchildren Aiden Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson, Kylie and

Holden Berry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be.

So He put his arms around you and whispered "come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you and saw you pass away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the~ best.
