To my beautiful cousin Lydia's children and grandkids, our thoughts and prayers will be with you today as you lay your beautiful mom to rest. I can just see her love of her life (our cousin Bobby) greeting her at Heavens gate. Can you just imagine her and Bobby's beautiful smile and the warmest greetings and saying were together again. I will cherish my beautiful and special memories of you and our times together over the years. Also thank you for sharing some of your recipe's with me. Also thank you for your comforting words when I was at Maggie Showecker Cranfill and Buck Everett Buck Cranfill after losing my late spouse in 2004. Your comforting words were greatly appreciated. Your gone from site, but you will be forever in our thoughts and hearts. To my cousins Family our sincere Condolence and may your special memories of your beautiful mom and grandma bring you some sort of comfort in the coming days ahead. Sending love and prayers. 💟🙏

How do we start to celebrate the life of our amazing mother? Memories.
Memories may have failed our mother at the end, but they are what we will carry with us for future generations.
Some of our fondest memories of our mother are of Love, Laughter and Family. Love for our father, Love 
for her Children, Love for her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, the love she had for her Siblings.
That is a gift she has passed down to each of us.
Mom was such a selfless person, always doing for others before herself. If one of us children needed a hand, she and Daddy would drop everything that they were doing, even if it meant that they would miss out on that Movie they bought tickets for, or dinner that they had planned to have, just to help one of 
us out. She would always have a smile on her face that you could even hear through the telephone.
Mom always loved to have her family around, and we loved to be with her. Many times, the house would be bursting at the seams to contain the many family that would show up, just to sample some of our moms amazing meals. Meals that we seemed to prefer over the many restaurant’s out there. 
Being in her kitchen and watching her make her meals with her handkerchief tied back hair, and Spanish music 
playing in the background all the while singing at the top of her lungs, always made the meals that much better.
Each of us children remember so many times that Mom was our biggest fan, from Robert joining the Military at Ft. Dix where she took a greyhound bus from Killeen with two kids just to see him graduate basic training, to Benita giving birth to Mom and Dad’s first grandchild John Michael. Mom drove over the state of Louisiana for Michaels many soccer tournaments, and Lydia graduating Cosmetology school.
Mom was so proud of her kids and grandchildren that she could hardly contain herself. 
She would love to say “I am who, I am and I have been that way since I was born”, Well Mom, we are who we are because you loved us since were born

Where to start...my aunt Yulsa was an extraordinary woman.  She exemplified what a wife, mother, grandmother and aunt should be.  There are not enough words to express the type of woman she was.  She was so welcoming, kind and loving to me and my family at our most difficult times,  she would make me forget the stresses in my life. I remember her and my uncle opening up their home to us so that my son could be comfortable while getting his surgeries.  She was my mom when my mom couldn't be there. She helped love on my son when I was too tired and overwhelmed to comfort him during his treatments. Thank you Tia Yulsa for all the beautiful memories,  the delicious food that you would make with so much joy and love and the thoughtfulness you put into everything you did.  I can still see your face when you ate something good and tasty, 
and your beautiful voice when you sang and cooked.  You were loved immensely and those memories will stay close to my heart. Love you Tia Yulsa.

Loved when they came to visit me Bobby & lydia she would tell me how she met Bobby she was a game with her Sisters Bobby was sitting behind them. He called her would sing are you lonesome tonight Lydia starteded singing his song   while she was  such a beautiful singer. Will never forget her she made you laugh fun to be around proud too call her my niece. Love you will remember the good days . Love You Aunt Lois


I can remember when I was a young child, I was excited to meet my Aunt Ligia, known as Yulsa. This was my mother's sister, and even as a small boy, I knew they were close. Growing up, my sisters and brothers would enjoy holidays with our cousins and our Uncle Bob and Aunt Yulsa. Oh, the wonderful memories of laughter and joyful times. The smell of delicious food would fill the house. Yulsa was always singing so beautifully, I thought she was better than Barbara Streisand.  Those memories will remain as cherished moments and my images of Yulsa cooking and singing and dancing will forever bring a smile to my face. I will miss my beautiful Aunt Yulsa, but I take solace knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life; our Uncle Bob. Their 50 plus years of marriage exemplifies what true love is and how it can endure. To my cousins and their children, I offer sincerest condolences. Your mother loved you with all her heart; I just thought I would share that it was obvious to us, too. She showed her love in her own way, every day, always,  and it was undoubtedly unconditional love. May God rest her soul, heaven has another angel, and I'm sure she is singing to her beloved Bob, while they dance among the clouds. I love and miss you, Ligia Turner, my Aunt Yulsa.

I sent out my condolences.My dear Aunt Julsa she will always be in my heart that's how I know her best my aunt Julsa and my Aunt Maria two of the most special women in my life besides my mom, I remember every time I would go see my Aunt Julsa  it was such a big event. I get that feeling of nostalgia I can still hear my mom telling me during Christmas time and the holidays hurry up and get ready we're going to go see your Aunt Maria and your aunt Julsa and It was always a blessing I always knew I was going to eat some of the best food of my life and be spoiled by some of the sweetest lady and dont let me leave out bob How does it go behind every great woman stands a great man they are great people. She always had so many good influences to bestow upon people along with her being one of the best cooks I ever experienced in my life she was also one of the sweetest. What a privilege to have such a beautiful lady be my aunt. The few memories I have of her are beautiful blessings along with great pork schnitzel you taught me how to make. I  love my family and all the people that have loved me and you will always have a special part in my heart, she lives on in my loveing memorys.I wish I was there to have shown support  but I send my heart. What wonderful aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother ,wife, person you will alwalys live on thew you loved ones and thank you God for letting her bless this world with so much beautiful  Family that  I hope to meet and see julsa in all of you. Thank you God for blessing our lives with such a beautiful wonderful woman who had some extraordnary roles.  That will always be instiled as love ... Love your  nephew. If words could say and Define the beautiful person that was my sister there wouldn't be enough words I am very thankful to Jehovah for having known her for having her as my precious sister and friend her wittiness her beautiful smile her loving kindness her humility and her love I will always cherish I look forward to the time as the book of Acts chapter 24 in verse 15 brings out that is my hope for my dear sister and all my loved ones

With great mercy from God our sister is resting in peace. Edwin, Gladys and I miss our precious sister, who liked singing, dancing, cooking and taking care of her loving husband Bob, her children and grandchildren.  We loved her for what she was; lovely in heart and soul, humorous, feisty temperament,  organized, loyal, respectful and sincere. Our sister was happy with family. We miss her. God grant her soul eternal rest.

I had the honor of having aunt Lydia in my home for 2 weeks the summer of 2018 : we sang & danced , cooked had the best family reunion that year! She loved her family spoke of special memories of how her & uncle Bobby meet & then married . Spoke of all the special memories of family memories of places they had been to her favorite was Italy 🇮🇹! It was also uncle Bobby’s . Family was a big deal with them both ; what a wonderful blessing they was to our family: the love that had for all of their family was a magnificent blessing. My last special memory was the last night I had with them was downtown Indianapolis we took a hour carriage ride: it took us on the route where uncle Bobby grew up : aunt Lydia loved it: she will be dearly missed but her memory will live forever in my heart ❤️: your all in my thoughts and prayers 

My Beautiful Cousin Lydia, we lost a Beautiful Lady but God received a Beautiful Angel✨🌹 you have been reunited with the Love of your Life again, Oh how beautiful that must be! Bobby must have had a hand in preparing your place I know in my heart your both smiling and dancing with tears of joy... Lydia you will be sadly missed by many but my heart smiles because you are where you wanna be right in the arms of two men you love dearly;  your  handsome husband Bobby & Jesus.... R.I.H. Lydia was a wonderful lady. She's going to be missed alot.  She was a Beautiful woman inside and out. She was a wonderful Mom, Wife to my Cousin Bobby.  Her kids and grandkids and great grandkids are going to be lost without her. We had lots of Memories that we need to share to keep her memories alive. Her and Bobby are together now. He luved her as Much as she Luved him. Luv Birds. R.I.P. now cousin Lydia. 💞 

Mrs. Turner was kind-hearted, and the "light" at gatherings at Lydia Giddings' house. You could see her eyes shine when she looked at her daughters and grandchildren. Godspeed to you as you join your beloved husband. You will be greatly missed. 

Lydia was such a blessing and beautiful lady inside and out! I simply loved my cousin and loved sitting and listening to her talk about " the true love story' of her and her husband ( my cousin Bobby) their love was true.  She was so much fun to be around and I loved her cooking and loved her dearly. She had such a BEAUTIFUL personality, smile and heart. My thoughts, prayers, love, condolences and hugs go out to my cousin's and their families.   She may be gone from sight but she will forever be in our hearts and minds and will cherish every moment that we ever had like gold. R.I.H Beautiful  Angel👼
