She recently celebrated her 83rd birthday.
In business, Lottie was well known in the Texas Insurance industry for many years. She started with a local agency as the Switchboards Operator then eventually rising to the position of Executive Vice President with over 200 employees. She was also President of a premium finance company. Lottie was known as a trailblazer for her work with the Federation of Insurance Women Of Texas (fiwt.com), an organizer that promotes and provides education and professional development for its members and the Texas insurance industry. Lottie, more than one time, served as the organization's President.
To us, she was a dancer and lover of music, even if she did not always know the words, she would say " the words are overrated ". " Its the thought that counts". She was a mom who dealt with ups and downs with grace. A friend to many, a great lover of Christmas, butterflies and her favorite saying was " Live, Love, and Laugh!". She will be missed.
Lottie is survived by her husband Terry Harmon; his children Terry and Joseph; grand children Koit and Kaid; and great grandson Kane; her children Kathryn and Kyle; grandchild Nicklas and the many persons she touched with her warm smile.
Funeral arrangements for Lottie are under the care of Crawford Bowers Funeral Home. A interment will occur at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Lighthouse For The Blind and The Kidney Foundation.
