Lillian Lucille Whiteley, age 94, passed away at a Belton Nursing Home Thursday, February 29. A visitation is scheduled for Mrs. Whiteley from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Friday, March 2 at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 10:00 am, Saturday, March 3 at Briggs Baptist Church, Briggs, Texas with burial to follow at Dillingham Cemetery, Briggs, Texas.
Lucille was born August 12, 1917 in Oakalla, Texas to Charles Marshall and Myrtle (Sellers) Stiles. She married William Whiteley and is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years and a son, Capt. Melvin Whiteley of the Killeen Fire Department.
Survivors include a brother, Raymond Stiles, her granddaughters, Sherry Cochran and Brenda Easter, a daughter-in-law, Doris Whiteley, four great-grandsons, Brandon Whiteley, Kyle Whiteley, T.W. Cochran and Joe Cochran, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
