Margaret Marie Torres

April 15, 1936 – November 18, 2024

Margaret Marie Torres, 88, of Killeen, TX, went to be with Jesus on Monday evening, November 18, 2024, at home with family by her side.

Marie was born on April 15, 1936 in Frankford, DE to the late Edward J. Davis (Wickersham) and Ethel C. Davis.

For more than 30 years, Marie was a member of Faith Point Church in Killeen. Prior to moving to Texas, she served as missions treasurer and Sunday School teacher for many years at Spirit & Life Bible Church in Elkton, MD.

Marie knew Jesus as her personal Savior and wanted everyone around her to know Him as well. She kept in touch with dear friends and others through phone calls, written letters and social media.

Marie was adventurous in earlier years as she enjoyed traveling, biking, swimming, and roller skating. She has always loved spending time with family, listening to and playing music, observing nature (especially birds, squirrels and flowers), baking pies and cookies, sewing, crocheting, sharing memories, giving to others, and helping people.

Marie is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Thomas Torres Jr., CW4 Ret. The two were deeply devoted to each other. Their blended family included 5 daughters and 1 son.

Children, Carol Presnell (Ronaine) of Rising Sun, MD; Josephine Yates (Eddie) of Rising Sun, MD; Mary Latgis (Nick) of Murrells Inlet, SC; Marie Felan of Hutto, TX (Jim); Teresa Torres of North Augusta, SC (deceased); Thomas Torres, III of Killeen, TX.

Grandchildren, Jeffrey Rank; Crystal Webb; Lisa Bailey; Andy Dawson; Chris Albino; Nick Albino; Christee Albino; Michael Werner; Ashley Simmons; Sylvia Torres; Nena Vero.

Great grandchildren, Zachary Horblit; Jasmine Horblit; Jonathan Vincent; Danielle Webb; Jillian Webb; Amelia Rank; Oliver Rank; Anthony Dawson; Liv Albino; Kai Albino; Iris Bird.

In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her siblings: Edward J. Davis II, Edith M. Turner, Jeanette Grubb, Florence B. Colmery, Robert L. Davis, William Davis, and her daughter Teresa Torres.

Visitation will be from 5:00–7:00 PM on December 3, 2024 at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home in Killeen, TX.

Funeral services will be held on December 4, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Crawford Bowers Funeral Home followed by graveside services at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 PM.

Memorials may be made to her church, Manna Church.
